It's a great video, and it teaches me that as human beings we have so much to learn from the rest of creation. The video was taken at the Calgary Zoo, and it depicts two gorillas who are captivated by curiosity - because they see a caterpillar. And they stare in wide-eyed wonder as the caterpillar crawls around in front of them, never trying to grab it or hurt it, just transfixed by the sight of it; overwhelmed by the joy of discovering something new and different. I think we humans take so much for granted. Maybe we think we know too much; maybe we think there are no boundaries left to push, no untamed wildernesses left to explore. Maybe we miss the beauty we should be able to see right in front of us - because we have our eyes closed to it. We seem to have no sense of awe anymore at the amazing things God has created. I love these gorillas. Such big, powerful creatures - and so absolutely fascinated by a mere caterpillar. The next time I see a caterpillar, I think I'll take a closer look. Enjoy the video. It's not long, but it makes you think.
